how does everyone 'see' organic & sacred forms relating to music?
I know there's the study of 'cymatics' now (the effect of vibration on matter)...but the associations between sacred music, geometry ~ "architecture as frozen music" have nearly always been there....
but why? how? where do you see this most explicitly? where do you most clearly 'get it'?
guess i am looking for insights or enthusiasms that anyone cares to share... am still learning & formulating ideas myself.
~~ thanks! ~~

Re: music
Sat, December 19, 2009 - 8:36 AManyone? I need to sit down & read one of those books at Barnes & Nobles that's like "this is your brain on music" ~ I can't remember exact titles right now. But I'm sure there are some theories & bodies of research out there that are good places to start in this inquiry.
Am also sure there are some great 'eastern' writings on vibration, sacred form & meaning. Have read some Hazrat Inyat Khan but am in search of others...
